The Surface Flammability Tester is used to detect the burning behaviour of wool or fur fabric. The flame spreads quickly on the surface of the fabric, but the base cloth of the fabric does not burn.The mobile butane burner moves laterally on the surface of the fabric to see if there is a surface flame and record the damage to the base cloth.
