Test method for Leather Friction Color Fastness Tester

The machine is designed to carry out a rub fastness test on the surface of leather or coated fabrics to determine the marring of the surface finish and to assess the amount of color transfer from the sample to the rubbing pad under dry friction and wet friction.

Testing Method
When testing, place the Leather Friction Color Fastness Tester on the felt.

1. Dry Friction
1.1 The used side of the sample faces upward, stretched in the sample holder without wrinkles. Tighten the sample clip and place it between the long hole and felt in the base of the instrument. Use the screw of the long hole in the base of the instrument to fix the sample clip.
1.2 Wrap the friction pad on the rubbing head tightly and fix the rubbing pad in the spring groove of the rubbing pad.
1.3 Return the rubbing head with friction pad wrapped back to the machine frame.
1.4 Stat the machine for 25 reciprocating movement and stop to take out the friction pad.
1.5 Rate the color transferred from the leather sample to the friction pad with a gray scale. Visually assess the color rating. The light source used for assessing is the natural light from the window towards the north.

2. Wet Friction
The operation is the same as the procedure above with a wet soaked friction pad.
2.1 The friction time is 20
2.2 The friction pad is soaked with distilled water. The wet content is 70%-75%, weighted by a balance.
2.3 The wet friction pad shall place in the shade area under normal humidity air condition for natural drying. Then rate the color with gray scale.

Multi-Functional Scratch tester For automotive interior materials

Multi-Functional Scratch tester is applicable to all types of wiping performance test of automotive interior materials; test equipment integrated three domestic standards (fingers scraping method, a hundred grid method, and plastic scraping finger scraping method).         Scratch tester is an electronic instrument capable of measuring critical load, adhesion, scratch resistance and bond strength for a wide range of surfaces. Scratch tester measures the scratch resistance of a sliding and moving surface in the relative motion to a stylus. The stylus is forced/pressed against the moving surface with precise controlled force which is normal to the surface and tangential force at the contact has to be measured.         Scratch tester can be utilized for all type of industrial coating from the plasma layers used in semiconductor and optical technology used in decorative coatings used for automotive and consumer goods. Scratch tester is used in various applications such as

FMVSS 302 With Horizontal Flammability Tester

FMVSS 302 is one of the most important to crash survivability. This standard not only designates acceptable flammability characteristics of materials to be used in vehicle interiors but also outlines specifications for testing these properties and interpreting their results. By comparing their findings against the desired burn characteristics, auto manufacturers and parts suppliers can ensure their interior materials are approved for use. Test instruments : Horizontal Flammability Tester ; Test Procedure of Horizontal Flame Tester : a.Mount the specimen so that both sides and one end are held by the U-shaped frame, and one end is even with the open end of the frame. Where the maximum available width of a specimen is not more than 51 mm, so that the sides of the specimen cannot be held in the U-shaped frame, place the specimen in position on wire supports as described in S5.1.3, with one end held by the closed end of the U-shaped frame. b.Place the mounted specimen in a hori

Zipper Tester, Slide Fastener Reciprocating Tester

The Zipper Tester, also known as a Slide Fastener Reciprocating Tester, is a specialized device used to test the durability and functionality of zippers or slide fasteners. It is commonly used in the textile, garment, and bag manufacturing industries to ensure the quality of zippers used in various products. The tester simulates the repeated opening and closing actions that zippers undergo during normal usage. It evaluates the zipper's resistance to wear and tear, as well as its ability to withstand the repetitive movements and forces applied during regular operation. The Zipper Tester typically consists of a testing chamber or fixture, where the zipper is securely clamped. The tester applies a controlled reciprocating motion to the zipper slider, repeatedly opening and closing the zipper according to predefined parameters, such as cycle count and speed. During the testing process, the machine measures various performance parameters, including the force required to open and close t
