The Work Principle Of Spray Rating Tester

Spray Rating Tester is designed to determine the surface wetting resistance of any fabrics, which may or may not have been given a water-repellent finish. It is not intended to predict waterproofness, since it does not measure the penetration of water through fabric.The instrument comprises a stainless steel framework, incorporating a funnel. The spray nozzle is mounted on the neck of the funnel. The precision spray nozzle contains 19 holes - one central hole surrounded by two concentric rings of 6 and 12 holes respectively.


A specified volume of distilled water is sprayed on to the test specimen, and its spray rating is determined by comparing the appearance of the specimen with descriptive standards or the AATCC Spray Test Rating Chart.The specimen holder is a particular feature of our Spray Rating Tester, facilitating rapid and secure mounting of specimens, in the correct position, on the instrument.

    My lover always want to walk in the rain with me and put a suit above my head like drama, but I thought the suit should be tested by AATCC spray tester to confirm the suit surface wetting resistance is enough.
